Overview

A Comprehensive Oral exam includes X-ray imaging along with a detailed oral exam twice a year can prevent almost all major dental treatment.

We also provide an extremely thorough oral cancer screening to keep your oral cavity healthy and beautiful.

Most dental insurance plans cover most or all of the costs associated with twice a year cleanings and exams. We welcome most PPO dental insurance plans.

Preventative treatments avert serious dental problems from developing. Two leading dental problems that we can help you prevent are tooth decay and gum disease. Advanced tooth decay can place you at high risk of needing a tooth extraction or root canal. Gum disease remains the leading cause of tooth loss in this country, according to the National Institutes of Health.

Preventative Treatment Options

Checkups and cleanings: Professional cleanings and exams are the most important preventative treatment any dentist offers. For patients, the gentle cleanings can prevent the development of tooth decay and gum disease. Our dentist will also look for an signs of dental cavities or gum disease. A thorough treatment plan will also be presented if you do have any problems to help your mouth get back to being healthy!

Ultrasonic scaling: During your dental cleaning, you can benefit from ultrasonic scaling. The device uses high-frequency vibrations to loosen calcified plaque on your teeth. It can remove heavy tartar build up quickly. It is then followed by polishing of your teeth to give it the nice gloss.

Bruxism appliances: If you grind your teeth at night, your teeth can become worn, chipped, or cracked. A comfortable night guard appliance can place a protective barrier between your teeth so they do not come into contact while you sleep.

Sealants: Sealants place a protective layer of resin over your teeth to prevent tooth decay. It is especially helpful for our pediatric patients that are still learning how to brush and floss properly!

Fluoride: Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that hardens enamel. Topical fluoride applied on teeth surfaces for about 30 seconds have been proven to help enamel reminerization.
